What We Heard

“We need an integrated marketing campaign—fast.” With interest rates rising rapidly and the number of homes on the market declining, homebuyers were struggling. They’d establish a budget based on current rates, but by the time they found a home they wanted, the rates had increased. To help, Cornerstone Bank created its 120-Day Rate Lock and Shop Program, which allowed homebuyers to lock in their interest rate for 120 days while they shopped for their home. Because the campaign needed to meet current market conditions, we had to move quickly. Luckily, the fast lane is where we like to be.

What We Did

Shifting into high speed, we moved from concept to the first tangible marketing materials in just five days (apologies for the sonic boom). To reach homebuyers where they were, we created a holistic campaign that integrated digital advertising, print, signage, billboards, direct mail, TV/CTV commercials and radio advertising, as well as organic social media and public relations. Additional collateral and mailings quickly followed, directed at both potential customers and mortgage referral sources, such as realtors.

How It Went

When the campaign revved up, the client definitely saw an uptick in mortgage applications; however, the major benefit was the increase in referral source inquiries driven to Cornerstone’s retail lending team. Many realtors, attorneys and accountants began reaching out for more information to help their clients, allowing Cornerstone’s mortgage loan officers to create lasting relationships.
