<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Dawn Hebert: It’s classic and plays well for all types of design like interior design, fashion, fabrics, graphics, web. Blue allows room for adding more playful accent colors and patterns to a design, while keeping things clean and professional.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Jen Jasiorkowski: This basic blue has a calming effect on people, which is what most of us need right now. In design, it blends well with both muted and bright colors and can be used in a multitude of situations. It also portrays strength and loyalty, as well as honesty as with the colors green and purple.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Laura Stopa: This classic blue is certainly well known to designers. Blue tends to be considered calming and professional, and this blue is no exception. While this may be the case, I personally wish they had chosen a blue that was a little more creative and intriguing. A few shades off to the green or red side could take this color of the year from traditional and steadfast to something a little more interesting and exciting—which I think would appeal to the general population better at this day and age.</span></p>
