Pro Tips: Adult Snow Days

Snow day! Music to a child’s ears, but not always to an adult’s. Unless, perhaps, you are fortunate enough to have the type of job – and the type of boss – that allows you to work from home. Working from home on a snow day or other weather emergency is a lovely perk to have, as well as an opportunity and a privilege.

A Hefty Risk with Big Reward

Take a moment to watch one of these TV spots or two (they’re pretty entertaining; you might find yourself watching all three).       What makes these ads so great? Hefty took a risk. While it can be intimidating to bring a creative, “out-of-the-box” idea to a board of directors, a safe approach doesn’t always make an impact. In this party mom campaign, skeptics would say that Hefty ran the risk of alienating some more traditional consumers. However, by... Read More

The 2015 edition of the Farmers’ Almanac predicts below-normal temperatures for the majority of the country — including the northeast. To help those families in the Pioneer Valley, the local Salvation Army has launched its... Read More

For those parents looking for ways to keep kids safe while providing entertainment and education to children, there were an abundance of resources available at the 6th Annual Kids... Read More

What Do People Find When They ‘Google’ You?

This article is a pretty big deal for Google and other search engines. People often wonder if they can have certain photos or articles related to them and their businesses removed from search results. The recent court ruling described in the article applies to search engines in European countries only. In the United States, the two ways we suggest addressing unwanted content are to directly contact the website containing the content and request removal, and to post more content about... Read More

Loose Lips Sink Ships

I woke up this morning to read the news that the iconic pitchman for the Men’s Wearhouse had been abruptly terminated. And, that’s it. No more information than that. The guy who, for decades, has been telling us that we’re going to “like the way you look. I guarantee it.” was sent packing — on the morning of the company’s annual shareholder meeting nonetheless. My first thoughts were, “I can’t wait to hear why,” simply because of the mysterious way... Read More
